Branding

For this project, I wanted to apply my cultural heritage as a concept for a K-pop album release. The K-pop group used for this project is “aespa”. I turned their debut single “Black Mamba” into a full album. The single has a unique music video concept and song title that I was inspired to turn it into an album release. I designed a physical album, music platform cover, and digital inclusions of what the album would contain.

I combined two of my passions as a graphic designer, K-pop and my cultural background. In the K-pop industry, we’ve seen artists fuse Korean art and traditional clothing into modern Korean pop. I wanted to take that idea as inspiration and implement it using my North African heritage.
